Instant patio and sunroom culinary herb and edible flower gardens. A collaboration of Barbara Joyce and Kerry Carter, Rockingham County grower and Franklin County designer, provides unique decorative, mixed containers: pots, baskets and living wreaths of your favorite herbs and flowers.

Choose from basic and tastefully arranged parsleys, sages, rosemary and thymes accented with seasonal and colorful edible blossoms. Other unique theme combinations are available for the discerning chef. An herbal medley for the Italian cook include: parsley, rosemary, basils, oreganos and chives. The seafood chef can select from choices of: lemon thyme, savory, dill, tarragon, sage, lemon balm, parsleys and basils.

Placement of a mixed container by the kitchen or patio door makes a bold statement about culinary skills. A wreath on the garden gate provides instant fresh herbs and culinary condiment for the barbeque enthusiast. Try a kitchen window box of edible flowers with combinations of: chamomile, scented geraniums, marigolds or nasturtiums accented with rosemary trailing thymes or oregano to provide a blossom accent for simple dishes. Choose a tea garden theme. A favorite mint, lemon verbena, pineapple sage, thyme and chamomile to create an opportunity for an instant herbal brew.
